The Rushing Stab (XR) is a card from the My Hero Academia League of Villains expansion pack, which is set to be released in a few weeks’ time. Who knows, by the time you’re reading this, it may already be out.

Initially met with skepticism from MHA fans, the CCG for My Hero Academia has since proven to be a hit, going from strength to strength with each new expansion, and delivering better and better cards.

The Rushing Stab (XR) is no exception, featuring the murderous and crazed Himiko Toga, the favorite villainous waifu from My Hero. The card is currently very popular, and we’re here to decipher why that is the case. So let’s dive right in!

Toga

Himiko Toga, or as I like to call her, the “Queen of Murder”. Himiko is a major antagonist in the My Hero Academia manga and anime series, and let’s be real, she’s one of the most entertaining villains out there. Her quirk allows her to transform into anyone she has tasted the blood of, which is pretty gruesome but also pretty cool.

Himiko was a member of the League of Villains and was affiliated with the Vanguard Action Squad, which was responsible for attacking the U.A. High School during the Forest Training Camp Arc.

Her quirky personality and unique abilities make her a fan favorite, and it’s no surprise that she’s featured on so many cards.

The Rushing Stab (XR) showcases Himiko Toga at her finest, ready to go all stabby-stabby on some poor soul’s guts. As we’ve said before, this girl is crazier than a sack full of cats on catnip. When she locks onto a target with her needle game, it’s like trying to shake off a clingy ex who just won’t let go.

And the illustration captures that essence perfectly! The dual-color background only serves to make her pop out even more, and we have to say, we love how bright and cheerful her card looks, despite the fact that she’s a complete freak in reality.

Value

The Rushing Stab (XR) is currently being sold for about $15 on reseller sites, but we must warn you that this price could shoot up faster than Toga’s needle when the full release happens.

And trust us, everyone loves Toga, so this card is bound to become a hot commodity. Just make sure you have enough cash to keep up with the frenzied fans!
