The One Piece Card game has recently been released to much fanfare and has quickly gained a lot of attention from fans of the popular anime and manga series. The first official expansion for the game is called “Romance Dawn,” which should be familiar to many long-time fans as it was the name of one of the first arcs in the show.

The Romance Dawn Expansion has been created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of One Piece, and the creators have gone all out in creating new card illustrations and adding exciting gameplay elements. Origins

Trafalgar D. Water Law, also known as Trafalgar Law or the “Surgeon of Death,” is a pirate captain and doctor from the North Blue region. He is a member of the Worst Generation, a group of twelve highly notorious pirates, and was formerly one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

However, he lost his position after aligning with the Straw Hat Pirates. Like many other pirates, Law aims to locate the legendary treasure known as the One Piece and seeks to understand the mysterious Will of D. As a captain and doctor, he leads the Heart Pirates and uses his medical expertise to assist his crew on their journey.

Trivia

Trafalgar Law is one popular character; according to some internet polls, he is in the top 20 of the most popular One Piece characters, which means a lot when considering the number of characters this anime has!

So it was no surprise to see so many Trafalgar Law cards in this set!

The Trafalgar Law Parallel is probably the best Trafalgar Law card in the Romance Dawn expansion. It shows the character in motion as if he’s about to slash his enemy in half. It feels like Trafalgar Law is coming out of the card, reaching for us!

Plus, the art style of the cards makes it look even more unique as most of the fans are used to seeing this man in the anime style.

Value

As of writing this blog post, the Trafalgar Law Parallel can be found across reseller sites for anywhere between $70-90, which is a lot when you take into consideration how many Trafalgar Law cards there are!

At this point, everyone is betting on the Trafalgar Law cards because this is the first-ever expansion, and at least one of them will blow up in the future. And judging by the illustrations other cards have, this Trafalgar Law Parallel seems the clears winner.
