The Vile Seizing (XR) is a card that’s causing a stir in the My Hero Academia League of Villains expansion pack. If you’re reading this and the expansion has already dropped, then what are you waiting for, go get it!
This game keeps getting better with every new release, and the League of Villains expansion is no exception. The villain cards are especially well done, and the Vile Seizing (XR) is a prime example. It’s currently the most sought-after card, and we’re here to tell you why.
Tomura Shigaraki
Tomura Shigaraki, or as I like to call him, “Hand Face”, is the big bad of My Hero Academia. He’s the boss of the League of Villains, and his life’s goal is to defeat All Might and bring down the society he represents.
He made his debut as a major villain in the U.S.J. Arc, and has been causing chaos ever since. He’s like the Joker, but with a hand for a face instead of a weird grin.
Trivia
The League of Villains expansion has more cards with Shigaraki on them besides the Vile Seizing (XR). Here are some of the cream of the crop:
Illustration
The name Vile Seizing (XR) is a perfect fit for Shigaraki because his touch is downright repulsive. And I’m not just talking about his hygiene (or lack thereof), nope, his touch can literally turn you into ash! That’s some seriously overpowered stuff. He can take down anyone with a single touch, and yet he still looks like a sad sack.
Anyway, the artwork on the Vile Seizing (XR) card depicts Shigaraki reaching out with his grimy, unwashed hand, ready to turn you to dust. The background color was chosen to instill a sense of dread in the viewer, making Shigaraki look even more menacing than he already is.
