Tomura Shigaraki is the new kid on the block in the My Hero Academia card game. He’s part of the latest expansion, aptly titled “League of Villains!” It’s perfect because not only is it based on that infamous arc, but it also includes some of the baddest baddies in the CCG. We’ve had a bunch of hero cards in past expansions, so it’ll be a breath of fresh air to see some anti-heroes and villains thrown into the mix.
The expansion will soon be available for purchase, and the Tomura Shigaraki card is already causing a stir. It’s so popular that it’ll probably be in higher demand once the expansion drops!
But let’s take a closer look at Shigaraki’s card. It’s got more firepower than a flamethrower and more style than Midnight. In fact, it’s so awesome that even All Might would be jealous (if he weren’t retired, that is).
So get your wallets ready, because you’re gonna want to snag one of these bad boys before they sell out faster than hotcakes. And if you don’t get your hands on a Shigaraki card, let’s just say that the League of Villains might come knocking on your door. Just kidding! (Or are we?)
Tomura Shigaraki
Let me introduce you to the man, the myth, the legend: Tomura Shigaraki (a.k.a. Shigaraki Tomura or Tenko Shimura, if you’re feeling formal). He’s the ultimate bad guy in the My Hero Academia universe, and he’s got one hell of a grudge against All Might.
As the leader of the League of Villains, Shigaraki is the kind of guy who gives you nightmares. He plans to take down the “Symbol of Peace” and destroy everything he stands for. And he didn’t just come up with this all on his own – he was raised by the notorious All For One. Talk about a tough childhood!
Trivia
Did you know that Tomura Shigaraki was originally supposed to be even creepier? Yeah, they wanted to give him these empty, black eyes and mouth that would’ve made Pennywise the Clown jealous. But other than that, his design wasn’t too different from what we see today.
Also, there are two more Shiagarki cards in the set, and they look even better!
Illustration
The card’s got a killer illustration of the man himself, just waiting for a hero to slip up and fall into his clutches (which, let’s be real, probably won’t take very long). And yes, I should probably mention that he kills people with his touch. So watch out for that.
The background of the card is all dark and ominous, just like you’d expect from a villain of Shigaraki’s caliber. It’s clear which side he’s on – and it’s definitely not the heroes’ side. But let’s be real, we’re not here for the background. We’re here for that sweet, sweet Shigaraki illustration.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. “Is this really the best Shigaraki card in the set?” And the answer is… no, probably not. But it is the “Shigaraki” card, so it’s definitely going to hold some value. Plus, it’s always nice to have a card that features your favorite villain in all his creepy, touchy glory.
So if you’re looking to add some Shigaraki goodness to your My Hero Academia card collection, this card is definitely one to keep an eye out for. Just make sure you wash your hands after handling it – you never know what kind of evil you might accidentally absorb! (Kidding… mostly).
