The Art Of Black Abyss Alt Art From My Hero Academia: Girl Power

The Black Abyss Alt Art is a part of the My Hero Academia Girl Power expansion pack, which just released a few days ago.

The brand new expansion pack, as the name suggests, sheds some much-needed light on the strong and beautiful girls of the anime. Showing off the ladies in brand new illustrations and holographic foils, this expansion is one of the best we’ve seen for the MHA CCG in a long time.

But not all cards in the expansion feature girls; one such card is the Black Abyss Alt Art featuring Dark Shadow and Fumikage Tokoyami. This card is one of the best sellers from the pack, which is a big deal considering the crazy cards featured.

So, we decided to decipher why it’s so popular by diving into its origins, sharing some trivia, analyzing the illustration, and finally, trying to predict what the future value of this card looks like. If that interests you, then stick around!

Origins

dark shadow

Fumikage Tokoyami comes from a lineage of heroes, but what sets him apart is his unique Quirk, Dark Shadow, a sentient shadow creature that he can control to fight alongside him.

Despite his dark and brooding appearance, Fumikage is actually quite friendly and takes his hero duties seriously.

Trivia

Did you know that Fumikage’s Quirk, Dark Shadow, becomes even stronger in the dark?

It’s like having a powerful ally lurking in the shadows, ready to unleash havoc on Fumikage’s enemies!

Black Abyss Alt Art

The Black Abyss Alt Art showcases Dark Shadow, the manifestation of Fumikage Tokoyomi’s Quirk.

Dark Shadow is an intense power, and even Fumikage struggles to control it at times. In the illustration, Dark Shadow appears to have taken over Fumikage completely, ready to go on a destructive rampage.

The card’s illustration perfectly captures the dark side of Fumikage’s Quirk, and the naming is spot on. It’s no wonder fans love this card!

Value

As of writing this blog post, the Black  Abyss Alt Art is going for around $40, which is quite a hefty sum in a set dominated by the girls of MHA. The illustration of the card is obviously one of the best we’ve ever seen for Fumikage, so it’s no surprise it’s valued so high.

This might just be the most valuable Fumikage card right now, justifying its $40 price tag. But what about the future? Well, the card has held onto this price for a while now, and we don’t see any reason why it won’t in the future.

However, like all cards, its appeal might fade a bit after the initial hype dies down. So, it might experience a slight drop in value, but it’s still a valuable addition to any collection.

So, are you excited for the “Girl Power” set? Why not order it now?
