Battra Beast Of Destruction is literally Battra, the dark rival of Mothra, diving out of the sky like a golden demon and I love how unhinged this looks. If you are under those claws, it is over.
Illustration Breakdown
This is Battra, not Mothra.
You can tell instantly from the jagged armor plating, the aggressive horned face, and those sharp almost mechanical wings. The gold and black color palette makes him look royal but corrupted, like a guardian that chose violence instead.
The pose is pure dive bomb chaos. Wings pulled back, claws extended, smoke slicing across the frame. It feels fast and predatory. The lighting makes the scales glow like molten metal against a pitch black sky.
Battra in the films was basically Earth’s wrath made physical. He was introduced as a darker counterpart to Mothra, more destructive and less forgiving. This art leans into that idea hard. It has that Heisei era intensity where kaiju feel powerful and mythic instead of goofy.
This is not a gentle moth. This is judgment from above.
Gameplay Integration
From what we can see, Battra is stacked.
One Enhance gives your attack plus 2 speed and plus 2 damage. That is immediate pressure.
Another Enhance reduces speed by 2 but forces your rival to commit a foundation, which can disrupt their defense.
Then there is a Response with Tenacious that commits one of your foundations to ready Battra and seal a rival foundation after you deal damage.
This card rewards aggressive turns and successful hits. It snowballs advantage and punishes opponents who cannot block cleanly.

Opinion
Battra is one of the most underrated kaiju and this card does him justice.
The art is menacing, the abilities are oppressive, and the vibe is pure wrath. As a Battra fan, I genuinely want this in my binder and on my stage.
