Tangled Grasp is literally Biollante wrapping Godzilla up like prey and if you are there its over. This card captures one of the creepiest kaiju moments ever put on cardboard and I love it.

Illustration Breakdown

This is Biollante in full nightmare mode.

Her massive crocodile like maw is wide open, rows of jagged teeth layered inside each other, green venom dripping between them. The vines coil around Godzilla’s body, tightening like constrictors. You can almost feel the pressure.

The background is pure destruction. Explosions bloom behind them, debris flying, the scene tilted just enough to feel unstable. The sound effect screaming across the top adds that classic comic chaos energy.

Biollante has always been one of the most unsettling kaiju. She is literally a genetically engineered hybrid made from Godzilla cells and plant DNA. That unnatural origin makes this art hit harder. This feels inspired by the Heisei era brutality where fights were more savage and less playful.

This is not just a fight. This is suffocation.

Gameplay Integration

From what we can see, Tangled Grasp is a Blitz Throw attack that gains speed for each face down card in your card pool.

That fits Biollante perfectly. The more you build and commit, the tighter the trap gets. Speed scaling plus Throw means even if they block it, they are still taking damage.

It rewards setup heavy turns and punishes hesitation.

Collector Details / Value Mention

Card number: GDZ01 83/186
Rarity: C

Value check: I can’t confirm the current market price yet, drop the price info and I’ll add it.

Even as a common, this is a must for Biollante fans. The art alone carries it.

Opinion

This is insane in the best way.

Biollante is literally body horror kaiju and this card nails it. I love how oppressive it feels. If she gets you, its over.

The Art Of Godzilla’s First Emergence – Godzilla: Reign Of Kaiju

Godzilla’s First Emergence makes Godzilla look literally demonic, like something ancient just crawled out of hell instead of the ocean. I love this version because it feels wrong in the best way and if you are there when this happens its over before the fight even starts.

Illustration Breakdown

This art is unsettling on purpose. Godzilla is towering straight at you with glowing red eyes and his mouth stretched wide like a scream that never ends. The texture on his skin looks rough and broken, almost volcanic, like he is forming in real time rather than arriving finished.

The sky behind him is hazy and warm, which makes his dark body stand out even more. It gives serious first sighting energy, that moment where humanity realizes something impossible just appeared. Fun trivia vibe here, early Godzilla appearances often leaned into horror more than heroics, especially when he was framed as a walking curse instead of a defender. This feels inspired by that idea of Godzilla as an omen rather than a monster you fight.

Gameplay Integration

From what we can see, this card sets the tone early.

After you play it, you immediately gain a Power token, which helps fuel future effects right away. The enhance giving extra speed to high difficulty attacks pushes aggressive follow ups and rewards committing to bigger plays.

This fits cleanly into early and mid game turns where you want to establish pressure and build resources at the same time. It quietly makes later attacks scarier without needing extra setup.

Collector Details / Value Mention

Card Number: GDZ01 177/186
Rarity: R
Type: Foundation
Value check: I can’t confirm the current market price yet, drop the price info and I’ll add it.

The art alone makes this feel more special than a typical rare.

Opinion

This card nails the horror side of Godzilla perfectly. He does not look heroic, he looks inevitable. Godzilla’s First Emergence feels like the start of something you cannot stop.

Burning Fury looks like the exact second Godzilla stops being a monster and starts being a walking apocalypse. This is pure rage energy and if you are anywhere near that glowing chest its over.

Illustration Breakdown

This art is loud and dramatic in the best way. Godzilla is standing tall with his arms raised and his chest glowing like a reactor about to explode. The red and white core in the center pulls your eyes instantly and makes everything else feel secondary.

The background feels like heat and smoke swallowing the world, with the colors melting into each other instead of clean shapes. That chaos makes the power feel unstable and dangerous. Fun trivia moment, this chest glow scream Burning Godzilla era vibes where he is less a creature and more a ticking disaster. It also feels inspired by those classic final act shots where the glow alone tells you the fight is almost over.

Gameplay Integration

From what we can see, this attack rewards long brutal games.

Burning Fury mills a huge chunk of your deck and then gains speed based on how many attacks are already in your discard pile. That means the more you have fought, the scarier this gets. It fits perfectly into late turns where your discard is stacked and you want one massive push that is hard to block.

This is pressure through inevitability. The longer the game goes, the worse this card becomes for your opponent.

Collector Details / Value Mention

Card Number: GDZ01 115/186
Rarity: UR
Type: Attack
Value check: I can’t confirm the current market price yet, drop the price info and I’ll add it.

As a UR with this kind of visual, it already feels special.

Opinion

This card looks like Godzilla at his breaking point and I love that. The glow, the posture, the chaos all sell the idea perfectly. Burning Fury feels like a finisher you remember losing to.

Blooming Beast is literally one of the strangest and most beautiful kaiju visuals in the whole set and I love how weird it is. This does not look like a monster you fight, it looks like something that grows and then you realize too late its over.

Illustration Breakdown

This art is wild in the best way. A massive rose headed kaiju towers over the city at night, vines stretching across buildings like they own the skyline. The deep blues of the water and sky clash with the bright red bloom, making the flower feel almost elegant until you notice the glowing core in its body.

The crescent moon and city lights give it a calm before disaster mood. Fun trivia vibe here, plant based kaiju like Biollante have always leaned into body horror and unnatural growth rather than brute force. This feels inspired by that era where Godzilla villains were experiments gone wrong instead of just big lizards.

There is something unsettling about how beautiful it looks while wrecking everything.

Gameplay Integration

From what we can see, Blooming Beast is about board development.

The enhance flip lets face down cards ignore progressive difficulty for foundations this turn. That is sneaky strong for turns where you want to build wide without slowing yourself down. It rewards setup turns and careful sequencing.

This fits early and mid game when you want to expand your stage and prepare for later power plays. It does not scream aggression, it whispers inevitability.

Collector Details / Value Mention

Card Number: GDZ01 161/186
Rarity: UC
Type: Foundation
Value check: I can’t confirm the current market price yet, drop the price info and I’ll add it.

Even as an uncommon, this art stands out instantly.

Opinion

Blooming Beast is creepy and beautiful at the same time and that is such a kaiju thing. I love when Godzilla sets embrace the weird side of the franchise. This card feels like horror wrapped in petals.

Biollante, Giant Plant Monster is literally the most menacing kaiju revealed so far and this art makes her look absolutely unhinged. She feels creepy in a way no other monster does and I love it.

Illustration Breakdown

This version of Biollante is pure nightmare fuel.

Her face is pulled forward out of the darkness, jagged teeth stacked in layers, eyes narrowed like she is calculating something. The vines coil up around her body, thick and alive, framing her like a living cage. The green tones are toxic and sickly, not bright heroic green but swamp rot green.

The background is almost swallowed in shadow, which makes her glow and silhouette hit harder. It feels claustrophobic. Like she is not charging at you. She is already there.

Biollante has always been one of the most disturbing kaiju because she was created using Godzilla cells and plant DNA, basically science gone wrong. That body horror origin is why she never feels like a normal monster fight. This art leans into that. It feels inspired by the darker Heisei era tone where the battles were heavier and more tragic.

This is not chaotic. This is controlled menace.

Gameplay Integration

From what we can see, Biollante is a 5 difficulty character with 36 health, which already signals endurance.

Her Enhance lets you add a card from hand face down to your card pool and recur from discard, even spending momentum to get more back. That is insane value generation. She turns resources into pressure and keeps refueling.

Her second Enhance modifies damage based on face down cards in all players card pools. That rewards grindy board states. The longer the fight goes, the scarier she becomes.

She is literally built for control and suffocation style play.

Collector Details / Value Mention

Card number: GDZ01 3/186
Rarity: R

Value check: I can’t confirm the current market price yet, drop the price info and I’ll add it.

As a character card and a fan favorite kaiju, this one is absolutely getting attention.

Opinion

This is insane in a quiet way.

Biollante does not scream chaos. She creeps in and takes over the board slowly. If you let her set up, it is over.

I genuinely think this is one of the best villain arts in the set.

Biollante Arrives is literally one of the creepiest kaiju moments in the entire Godzilla lineup and this card leans all the way into that horror. I love how unsettling this feels because if you are there when Biollante shows up its over in the worst possible way.

Illustration Breakdown

This artwork is pure nightmare fuel. Biollante is exploding into the scene with its mouth stretched unnaturally wide, rows of sharp teeth layered on top of each other like something that should not exist. There is slime and debris flying everywhere, which makes the whole moment feel violent and wrong.

The green tones mixed with grey rubble give it a toxic, lab gone wrong vibe. Fun trivia context here, Biollante has always been one of the most disturbing kaiju because it was created through genetic engineering using Godzilla cells rather than being a natural monster. That hybrid origin is why it always feels more horror than spectacle, and this art absolutely captures that energy.

Gameplay Integration

From what we can see, this card plays a sneaky setup role.

Face down cards not counting toward progressive difficulty makes it easier to slip this into turns where your board is already busy. The enhance flip giving a Power token quietly fuels bigger plays later without screaming for attention.

This fits early and mid game turns where you want to build resources while keeping pressure low. It rewards smart sequencing rather than brute force.

Collector Details / Value Mention

Card Number: GDZ01 160/186
Rarity: C
Type: Foundation
Value check: I can’t confirm the current market price yet, drop the price info and I’ll add it.

Even as a common, the art alone makes this memorable.

Opinion

Biollante Arrives is creepy in exactly the right way. It reminds you that not every kaiju is meant to look cool or heroic. This card feels like a warning more than an arrival and I kind of love that.

Destructive Tendencies looks absolutely unhinged at first glance, like someone stuffed multiple kaiju into one city and said good luck. It is loud, packed, and honestly kind of overwhelming in a way that feels very Godzilla.

Illustration Breakdown

This card is insanely detailed. You have Anguirus front and center smashing through buildings, Gorgoaurus tearing things up in the back, and Manda weaving through the city like a living disaster. The whole scene feels stacked and claustrophobic, like the city is being attacked from every direction at once.

The color palette is wild with purples, greens, and explosive highlights that make everything feel frantic and out of control. It has strong Showa era chaos vibes where multiple monsters just show up and the city instantly loses. That said, I cannot lie, I kind of hate one thing. Why did they hide Manda’s face. Manda is literally this legendary long dragon kaiju, that classic eastern dragon shape people love, and they just tuck him into the background like a side character. That hurts.

Gameplay Integration

From what we can see, this foundation is pure disruption.

If your rival has cycled this game, you can flip it to destroy one rival foundation. That is huge against decks that churn through cards fast and rely on cycling to stay consistent. It rewards you for playing patiently and then punishing overextension.

This feels like a card that sits quietly early and suddenly becomes a problem mid to late game when your opponent thinks they are stable. It pressures resource heavy strategies without needing fancy combos.

Collector Details / Value Mention

TCG: Godzilla: Reign of Kaiju by UVS Games
Card Number: GDZ01 38/186
Type: Foundation
Rarity: Not confirmed
Foil or alt art: Not confirmed

Value check: I can’t confirm the current market price yet, drop the price info and I’ll add it.

Opinion

This card is insanely detailed and visually chaotic in a way that fits multiple kaiju attacks perfectly. I love the scale and madness of it. But hiding Manda’s face is criminal and I will never forgive that choice.

The Art Of Godzilla Shin Godzilla – Godzilla: Reign Of Kaiju

Godzilla Shin Godzilla is literally my favorite version of Godzilla ever and seeing him as a character card like this feels unreal. Ever since that Japanese movie dropped this version has lived rent free in my head and yeah I want this card badly.

Illustration Breakdown

This artwork is haunting in the best way. Shin Godzilla is twisted, stretched, and wrong looking on purpose, with his mouth wide open like he is screaming at the universe itself. The pose feels unstable and painful, like his body is barely holding together, which is exactly what makes him terrifying.

The dark background does so much work here. It pulls all your focus onto the body and that horrible open mouth, with the gold highlights on the scales making him feel ancient and unnatural at the same time. The texture on the skin looks almost burned and stretched, not heroic at all, just brutal.

Fun trivia that makes this hit harder, Shin Godzilla was designed to feel more like a disaster than a monster, and that comes through here perfectly. Also the movie famously reused music tied to Evangelion, which makes sense because the same creative mind was involved, and this art honestly feels like that same existential dread in monster form.

Gameplay Integration

From what we can see, this character rewards destruction and pressure.

Whenever rival foundations are destroyed by your effects, you gain health and generate Power tokens, which feeds directly into the new Power token mechanics. Then his enhance boosts damage and forces a rival foundation sacrifice if it connects, meaning every successful attack keeps tearing the opponent stage apart.

This feels like a centerpiece character for destruction focused decks that want to grind value while constantly applying pressure. The longer the game goes, the scarier he becomes.

Collector Details / Value Mention

TCG: Godzilla: Reign of Kaiju by UVS Games
Card Number: GDZ01 7/186
Rarity: Character C
Type: Giant Monster
Value check: I can’t confirm the current market price yet, drop the price info and I’ll add it.

If this ever gets an alt art, collectors are going to lose their minds.

Opinion

This is peak Godzilla for me. Shin Godzilla is horrifying, emotional, and unforgettable, and this card actually captures that feeling. I do not care how much this costs, I need one.

Power Token is literally Godzilla charging up his atomic breath and honestly it might be one of my favorite visual moments ever put on a card. That blue beam build up is so iconic that if you see it starting you already know its over.

Illustration Breakdown

This art goes crazy in the best way. Godzilla is mid charge, mouth open, with that bright blue atomic energy spiraling out like it cannot be contained anymore. The pose feels heavy and powerful, like every muscle in his body is locked in just to fire this thing.

The colors do a lot of work here. That electric blue against the warm orange background pops insanely hard and makes the beam feel alive. The energy lines look wild and unstable, like the blast is ripping through the air before it even fully fires.

Fun Godzilla trivia moment, the atomic breath charge up is one of the most recognizable monster visuals ever. Especially in the Heisei era, that slow glow and build before the blast was pure hype, and this token nails that exact feeling. I also love how this feels inspired by classic movie shots where the beam is the real star of the scene.

Gameplay Integration

From what we can see, this is a Power token, meaning it sits in your stage and gets sacrificed for effects.

This one is simple and clean. Sacrifice it and your attack gets plus 2 damage. That is it. No tricks. No reading ten lines. It rewards timing and aggression and turns stored power into real pressure.

It fits perfectly into turns where you want to push damage through blocks or close out a game. Holding these tokens and cashing them in at the right moment feels very Godzilla coded.

Collector Details / Value Mention

TCG: Godzilla: Reign of Kaiju by UVS Games
Card Name: Power Token
Card Number: GDZ01 1T
Type: Token
Value check: I can’t confirm the current market price yet, drop the price info and I’ll add it.

Even as a token, the art alone makes this worth appreciating.

Opinion

This might be one of my favorite Godzilla visuals ever. The atomic breath charge up never gets old and this card understands that completely. If you see this power building across the table, you already know something bad is coming.

Wrath Of Godzilla is Godzilla in pure rage mode and this card looks like the exact second he decides the city annoyed him enough. If you are standing anywhere near that roar it is over and honestly I love how direct this feels.

Illustration Breakdown

This art is all about the face and it works. Godzilla is roaring straight at you with his mouth wide open, teeth everywhere, eyes glowing, and zero restraint. The pose feels aggressive and forward like he is mid charge and not slowing down.

The colors are clean and natural which actually makes the rage hit harder. No crazy explosions here, just Godzilla himself filling the frame and reminding you how massive he is. The lighting on the scales gives him weight and texture and makes the whole thing feel solid and physical.

Fun trivia moment, this wide open roar shot is one of the most classic Godzilla visuals ever. It shows up across eras because it sells scale and dominance instantly. This also feels very Heisei coded where Godzilla looks less goofy and more like an unstoppable force that does not care who is watching.

Gameplay Integration

From what we can see, this foundation plays into Power token loops and destruction themes.

You can sacrifice a Power token to ready this foundation once per turn, which is huge for reuse and tempo. Then the response gives you 2 health after rival foundations are destroyed by your effects, which means it rewards stage destruction and keeps you alive while doing it.

This feels like a grind friendly card that supports decks breaking the opponent stage while staying healthy. It pressures slower decks and keeps you stabilized during longer games.

Collector Details / Value Mention

TCG: Godzilla: Reign Of Kaiju by UVS Games
Card Number: GDZ01 68/186
Rarity: UC
Type: Foundation
Value check: I can’t confirm the current market price yet, drop the price info and I’ll add it.

The art alone makes this a nice binder card even at lower rarity.

Opinion

This is Godzilla anger distilled into one image. The roar sells everything and the card name fits perfectly. If you like destruction decks and angry kaiju energy this one just feels right.

Mothra, one of Godzilla’s most beloved allies, made her first appearance in the 1961 film Mothra.

Known for her giant moth-like appearance, Mothra is often depicted as a protector of Earth, emerging from her cocoon to defend humanity and the planet.

She has a rich history in Japanese cinema, representing themes of rebirth and nature’s power.

Trivia

Did you know that Godzilla and Mothra have an interesting relationship?

They are sometimes allies and sometimes adversaries, depending on the threat they face. In some movies, they join forces to fight greater enemies, while in others, they clash in epic battles.

Their dynamic adds a fascinating layer to the Godzilla universe!

The illustration captures the moment perfectly, with Mothra unleashing a powerful zap while flying towards an unseen foe.

The dynamic art style and vibrant colors make this card a standout, bringing the energy and excitement of the Godzilla series to life.

Value

This card is valued at $5, which, while not a high price, reflects Mothra’s niche popularity.

Though Mothra might not be the most popular kaiju, her loyal fan base appreciates her unique charm.

There are other Godzilla cards in the set that fetch higher prices, some even reaching hundreds of dollars – History’s Greatest Monster alt art From Godzilla Challenger Series

Origins

King Ghidorah made his first appearance in the 1964 film “Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster.” This colossal, three-headed dragon from outer space was a formidable adversary, wreaking havoc on Earth and challenging Godzilla’s reign.

With his enormous wingspan, lightning-spewing heads, and unparalleled destructive power, Ghidorah quickly became one of the most iconic monsters in the Godzilla franchise, symbolizing an unstoppable force of chaos.

Trivia

Here’s a fun fact about King Ghidorah: He’s so massive and heavy that when he steps on Godzilla, even the mighty King of the Monsters gets injured!

Ghidorah’s sheer weight and size make him a truly terrifying opponent, capable of causing immense damage with every move.

Illustration

The illustration on the “Falling Crush” card is nothing short of epic. It features King Ghidorah in all his glory, descending from the sky with a powerful slam attack. The dynamic art captures the raw power and majesty of Ghidorah, with vibrant colors and intricate details.

The Godzilla Minus One promo card is an exciting addition to the Godzilla card collection.

This promo card ties in with the movie “Godzilla Minus One,” bringing the legendary kaiju to life in card format. UVS Games has done a fantastic job of capturing the essence of Godzilla and delivering it to fans through this unique card.

The promo card is a must-have for any Godzilla enthusiast, and we’re here to break down everything that makes it special!

Origins

“Godzilla Minus One” introduces Godzilla as a post-war menace in Japan. This version of Godzilla is a giant, dinosaur-like creature mutated by nuclear tests, rampaging through the country in the late 1940s.

The film portrays Godzilla’s destructive power and the chaos it brings to the devastated post-war landscape.

Trivia

Did you know that Shin Godzilla’s design was inspired by the horrific aftermath of the Fukushima disaster?

The filmmakers wanted to create a version of Godzilla that embodied the fear and anxiety of a nuclear catastrophe. This Godzilla has an eerie, almost grotesque appearance, and an unsettlingly massive tail. It’s a reminder of the monster’s origins as a symbol of nuclear devastation, making Godzilla minus one, one of the most memorable iterations of the character.

Illustration

The “Godzilla Minus One” promo card features a striking illustration of Godzilla. The artwork captures Godzilla in an intense, dynamic pose, ready to unleash his destructive power. The detailed textures and colors bring out the menacing features of Godzilla, from his sharp teeth to his rugged, scaly skin.

The background depicts a city in chaos, emphasizing the sheer destruction Godzilla brings wherever he goes. This stunning illustration makes the card a standout piece in any collection.

Value

The card is valued at $30, which reflects its unique status as a promo card and its connection to the “Godzilla Minus One” movie.

While not the most expensive Godzilla card out there, its value lies in its special edition status and the captivating artwork. For fans of the movie and collectors alike, this card is a fantastic addition that showcases the enduring appeal of Godzilla.

It has a plethora of coveted cards, one of which happens to be History’s Greatest Monster alt art featuring the King of the Kaijus, Godzilla himself.

So, let’s dive into what makes this card so popular!

Origins

Godzilla first appeared in the 1954 Japanese film “Gojira,” directed by Ishirō Honda. This iconic monster was awakened and mutated by nuclear radiation, becoming a powerful symbol of the devastation caused by nuclear weapons.

Over the decades, Godzilla has transformed from a terrifying force of destruction to a heroic figure, battling other monstrous threats to humanity and earning the title “King of the Monsters.”

Trivia

Godzilla is often called the “King of the Monsters” because he is the most powerful and enduring of all kaijus.

Godzilla’s ability to regenerate and his sheer size make him a formidable force, cementing his status as the ultimate monster king.

The illustration for History’s Greatest Monster alt art shows Godzilla in all his fiery glory. The card captures Godzilla standing tall amidst a backdrop of chaos and destruction, with flames and debris swirling around him. The artist has done an excellent job of portraying Godzilla’s menacing yet majestic presence.

The intense colors and dynamic pose make Godzilla truly stand out, giving the card a vibrant and powerful look. It’s no wonder this card is a favorite among fans!

Value

The card is valued at $25, which is a decent price considering the illustration and the popularity of Godzilla.

However, compared to some other Godzilla cards that go for hundreds of dollars, it’s quite affordable.

The Shobijin priestesses have been a staple in the Godzilla franchise since their debut. Originating from the mythical Infant Island, these twin fairies serve as the heralds and guardians of Mothra.

In the latest Godzilla movies, they are depicted as descendants of an ancient civilization with deep ties to Mothra, harnessing telepathic abilities to communicate with the giant moth

Trivia

Here’s a fun fact: The Shobijin priestesses are often depicted as twin sisters, adding a unique charm to their characters.

The Mechagodzilla Kiryu alternate art is a highlight from the Godzilla Challengers Series set, which just hit store shelves a few weeks ago.

Since its launch, this set has caused quite a stir in the TCG community, with many cards boasting impressive triple-digit values.

Among them, the Mechagodzilla Kiryu alternate art has become a sensation, fetching a remarkable price. So, we decided to dive deep into this amazing card!

Origins

Mechagodzilla, also known as Kiryu, first appeared in the 2002 film Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla. Kiryu is a mechanical behemoth built from the bones of the original Godzilla, combined with advanced technology.

Designed to combat Godzilla and other kaiju threats, Kiryu’s creation represents humanity’s desperate effort to protect itself from these colossal monsters. This blend of ancient remains and futuristic tech gives Kiryu a unique and formidable presence in the Godzilla universe.

Trivia

Did you know that Mechagodzilla is called Kiryu in Japanese? The name “Kiryu” translates to “Machine Dragon,” which perfectly captures its robotic essence. Unlike other kaiju, Kiryu is not just a monstrous force but a sophisticated machine equipped with cutting-edge weaponry. This makes it an incredibly powerful opponent, adding an extra layer of intrigue and excitement to its character.

It’s no wonder Kiryu has become a fan favorite!

Illustration

The Mechagodzilla Kiryu alternate art might just be the best illustration we’ve seen of this mechanical titan. The artist has done an outstanding job capturing the essence of Kiryu on this small card. The depiction of weapons firing off, the imposing stature of the mech, and the destruction it has left in its wake are all rendered with bold colors and dynamic detail. The overall effect is nothing short of breathtaking, making this card an instant classic and a must-have for collectors.

Value

The Mechagodzilla Kiryu alternate art is valued at $255, which is quite impressive. Not many cards reach such a high price, but this one does! There’s also an alternate art version of the card that goes for around $250, adding even more allure to this already sought-after piece.

The Electric Moth alt art is part of the Godzilla Challenger Series deck.

This deck contains some of the best kaiju illustrations we’ve seen in a while. UVS Games did a great job at bringing these behemoth monsters to the card format. One such card from the set that boasts a high value is the Electric Moth alt art, featuring Mothra in a beautiful illustration.

We’re here to decipher why this card is valued so highly and try predicting its future. So, if that interests you, stick around!

Origins

Mothra, one of the most beloved kaiju, first appeared in the 1961 film “Mothra” and has since become a staple in the Godzilla universe.

This giant moth is often portrayed as a guardian of the Earth, embodying themes of rebirth and protection.

In the latest movies, Mothra’s connection to Godzilla is more pronounced, showcasing them as allies against larger threats. Mothra’s electric powers and her role as a protector make her a key character in the kaiju world.

Trivia

Did you know that people in the Godzilla universe worship Mothra as a deity?

It’s true! Mothra has her own dedicated following who believe in her divine powers and protective nature.

Her worshipers often sing a special song to summon her, and it’s said that this song can be heard across great distances.

Mothra’s main attack, the Divine Moth Beam, is as powerful as it sounds and is a sight to behold.

Illustration

The Electric Moth alt art shows off the stunning Mothra in all her glory, emitting electricity from all over her body as if she’s charging up for a massive attack.

I feel bad for the kaiju that’ll have to face the wrath of this monster.

Even though Mothra is a kaiju, she looks pretty elegant and majestic. The artist has done a great job incorporating colors into the mix, making Mothra pop off the card. The electricity around her gives it that menacing look that’s much needed.

The background ties the whole card together, making it an overall pretty neat and popular illustration.

Value

The Electric Moth card is valued at around $25, which is an insane price for such a beautifully illustrated card. That may sound like a huge price, but there are cards in this set that go for hundreds of dollars. So, even though the illustration of this card is so cool, due to the lack of popularity of Mothra, it didn’t get as valuable as some Godzilla or Ghidorah cards did.

In the latest Godzilla movies, our favorite giant lizard is depicted as a force of nature awakened by nuclear activity. The connection to nuclear power goes back to the very first Godzilla film in 1954, where Godzilla was a metaphor for the devastating effects of nuclear weapons, reflecting the fears of post-war Japan.

In these newer films, Godzilla is portrayed as both a destroyer and a protector, absorbing nuclear energy to fuel his immense power and defend Earth from even more significant threats.

Trivia

Did you know that Godzilla’s signature atomic breath is not just for show? When he gathers energy for this devastating attack, it’s like he’s charging up a colossal battery. This energy is essential for him to unleash his powerful atomic breath, capable of leveling cities in a single blast.

Fun fact: in Japan, it’s said that whenever Godzilla makes an appearance, it’s like a mini nuclear disaster all over again, with his sheer presence causing as much destruction as a major catastrophe!

Illustration

Let’s talk about the illustration on the Gathering Energy card. The card depicts Godzilla in all his fiery glory, with his iconic dorsal fins glowing a bright blue, signaling that he’s charging up for his atomic breath. The artist has done a phenomenal job capturing the raw power and intensity of Godzilla as he prepares to unleash his devastating attack.

The background shows a cityscape in ruins, highlighting the chaos and destruction that follows in his wake. It’s a stunning piece that truly brings the King of the Monsters to life on the card.

Value

The Gathering Energy Alt Art card is valued at a whopping $30! That’s an insane price for a single card, but considering its amazing artwork and the hype around the Godzilla series, it’s not entirely surprising. There’s also an alternate version of this card, which boasts even more impressive artwork and is even more valuable.

Collectors and fans alike are willing to pay top dollar to get their hands on these cards, making them a hot commodity in the market.
