‘Independent Thought’ by Tatiana Tret Opens at Castle Fitzjohns

fitzjohnstatianiaNew York – Thursday, July 10, 2014

Famous Russian artist Tatiana Tret’s new work is on show, opening tonight 7pm, 10 July at Castle Fitzjohns gallery on the Lower East Side.

“Independent Thought” questions the originality of ideas, and if any creation can be completely new and separate from contemporaries that have already come before it. Her exploration of this question is manifested in intriguing mixed media work, involving “still life photography, digital technology and sculpture.”

“To create something new, something unique, something groundbreaking, is it an enigma?”

Tret’s work features an aesthetically beautiful, mixed media style that she says “is a fusion of creative energy and color harmony.” This show promises to answer the question of what independence in creation can do, through Tret’s unique creative process and her resulting artwork. Her solo show will be on through 31st July.
