Afghanistan Tintype Photography- First Combat-Zone Tintypes Since The Civil War

I love when old art techniques are reprized by modern artists.  It’s been 150 years since the Civil War, the last time Tintype combat-zone war photography was used, but some modern day Afghanistan war modern day Tin Type photos were posted on imgur today.   It’s fascinating to see how modern soldiers look in this archaic form of pre-film photography.  Something that has become so common in society looks so ancient when you take away the digital bells and whistles

Next challenge, record Kanye West on a phonograph cylinder.
